What affects the cost of a pothole repair?
The size, depth and number of potholes, the condition of the surrounding surface and access to the site all affect the work required. Crumbling edges may mean a repair has to extend beyond the most obvious damage. That is why we price every job after a site visit rather than guessing from a phone call.
Group repairs together
If your car park, yard or private road has several defects, tell us about all of them. Assessing them in one site visit and repairing them in one programme is usually more cost-effective than separate call-outs.
Repair properly the first time
Each repair is cut back to sound edges, cleaned, filled with industry-standard material, compacted and sealed. A cold-lay bag of filler may look cheaper, but a repair that fails quickly costs more in the long run.
Patch repair or resurfacing?
A local repair suits isolated damage. Widespread cracking or repeated failure can point to a larger surface problem, where resurfacing may give better value. We will explain the options at the site visit.
