Parking markings that make the layout easier to read

H. Evans Road Contractors Ltd provides car park markings for business premises, retail parks, schools and other sites. We assess existing lines and discuss parking layouts before supplying a written quotation.

Clearly defined bays and directional markings help drivers understand how to park and move through a car park. Faded lines can make spaces harder to identify, while a newly surfaced area needs an agreed arrangement before marking begins. The layout should reflect the available space and the way the car park is used.

We discuss existing markings, proposed positions and the surface condition during the site visit. Tell us whether the job is a refresh of the current arrangement or part of wider surface works. A written quotation describes the proposed markings, and the application arrangements should be agreed around parking demand and access.

Suitable for

  • Business car parks
  • Retail parks
  • Schools
  • Commercial premises

Planning your markings

  • Parking bay lines

Existing bays can be assessed for renewal, or positions can be discussed for a new surface. Provide a layout drawing if available and confirm the arrangement before application.

  • Directional information

Markings should reflect the intended vehicle route through the car park. Explain entrances, exits and any one-way arrangements so the proposed scope matches site use.

  • Coordination with surface repairs

Patches and resurfacing may affect existing lines. Mention any surface work planned or recently completed so marking requirements and their timing can be discussed together.

Clearing spaces for the marking work

Vehicles need to be kept out of the areas being marked. Explain peak parking times, any essential bays and whether parts of the site can be kept clear separately. The extent of closures and reopening arrangements depends on the layout, surface and application work.

Risk Assessments and Method Statements supplied before work starts.

What to send with your enquiry

Include photos of the existing lines, the approximate number of bays and a plan if you have one. Tell us whether you want to retain the current layout, identify any directional markings required and mention recent surfacing or damaged areas that need attention.

You can attach up to five site photos when requesting your free quotation.
