Line Markings

Lines and boundaries for parking, movement and working sites.

Clear lines for the way people use your site

We provide line markings for commercial premises, industrial sites, schools and car parks. The layout, surface and intended purpose are discussed before the proposed work is quoted.

Line markings help distinguish spaces and routes where vehicles and pedestrians share a site. They may define parking areas, indicate directions or identify working boundaries. A clear layout starts with understanding the purpose of each line, not simply repainting whatever is already visible.

H. Evans Road Contractors Ltd assesses marking enquiries on site and discusses whether existing lines should be refreshed or the arrangement needs reviewing. Provide any proposed layout and explain how the area operates. The written quotation describes the marking works; the site remains responsible for its wider traffic and safety arrangements.

Suitable for

  • Industrial sites
  • Commercial premises
  • Schools
  • Car parks

Planning your markings

  • Renewing worn lines

Tell us which existing markings have faded and whether their positions remain suitable. The surface condition and the intended arrangement need to be considered before renewal.

  • Routes and boundaries

Explain what each marked area is meant to identify, including vehicle routes and working boundaries. Agreed positions help keep the scope clear before application begins.

  • Surface readiness

Marking an existing area and marking new tarmac can involve different timing considerations. Flag dirt, surface damage or upcoming repairs so preparation and the sequence of work can be discussed.

Agreeing the layout before application

Bring a plan if available and confirm who can approve the marking positions. Identify vehicle and pedestrian movements, operating hours and the areas that need to stay clear during the work. Markings support the site layout but do not replace its broader safety assessment or controls.

Risk Assessments and Method Statements supplied before work starts.

Send the site address, photos and a description of the lines required. Include approximate areas or lengths and any existing or proposed plan. Explain the purpose of the markings, the type of surface and whether repairs or surfacing are planned first.
