Surface repairs for working industrial yards

We repair tarmac surfaces in factory yards and industrial premises. Site use, loading movements and the condition of damaged areas are assessed before a written quotation is provided.

Factory yards need to support a range of movements, from staff vehicles to deliveries and loading operations. A broken patch beside a workshop or in a turning area can interfere with day-to-day work. The repair assessment needs to reflect these movements as well as the visible surface damage.

H. Evans Road Contractors Ltd discusses the affected areas with the site contact and assesses the existing surface during a visit. Tell us where heavy vehicles travel, where loading takes place and whether particular routes are essential to production. We describe the proposed works in a written quotation, with the scope based on the site rather than a generic repair allowance.

Suitable for

  • Factory yards
  • Industrial estates
  • Loading areas
  • Workshop access

What we assess and repair

  • Loading and turning areas

Flag defects on regular delivery routes and in areas used for turning. The types of vehicles and frequency of movements are relevant to assessing the proposed repair.

  • Workshop and building entrances

Repairs beside doors or entrances need to consider how vehicles meet the adjoining surface. Explain any changes in level or damaged patches affecting workshop access.

  • Multiple damaged yard sections

A yard may have several separate defects or widespread deterioration. We assess the areas together and discuss whether targeted repairs or a wider surfacing proposal is appropriate.

Working around industrial operations

Provide delivery schedules, shift patterns and details of any operations close to the work area. Access restrictions and the programme should be agreed with the responsible site contact. RAMS are supplied before work starts, and reopening arrangements must take account of the particular job and traffic.

Risk Assessments and Method Statements supplied before work starts.

What to send with your enquiry

Include site photos, approximate repair areas and details of the vehicles or machinery using the yard. Mark essential routes on a plan if one is available, and tell us about loading times, site induction requirements and any damaged areas close to building entrances.

You can attach up to five site photos when requesting your free quotation.
